Novice home inspectors are matched with experienced counterparts who generously volunteer as mentors. By fostering these connections, the program strengthens relationships among members nationwide. This spirit of friendship is at the core of ASHI’s foundation.
As a mentee under the Ohio Chapter of ASHI MentorConnection Program, you will gain insights from local experts, forge connections within the ASHI community, and navigate challenges with confidence.
As a mentor, you will Earn 5 CE credits annually, receive a digital badge for recognition, and play a vital role in elevating the home inspection profession.

The Ohio Chapter of ASHI Standards Of Practice
Home inspection requires its own set of professional guidelines and qualifications. The ASHI Standards of Practice play a crucial role in establishing this field as a recognized profession. These guidelines are essential to the industry, ensuring clients receive comprehensive and efficient evaluations.
As part of the association, all members are required to adhere to ASHI’s Standard of Practice and Code of Ethics. Not only does this give members protection through clear direction on performing inspections and appropriate conduct, but it also protects consumers during this stage of the homebuying process.
The Ohio Chapter of ASHI encourages all inspectors to familiarize themselves with the Standards of Practice to gain a clear understanding of the home inspector’s role.
The Ohio Chapter of ASHI Parallel Inspection Program
The Ohio Chapter of ASHI Parallel Inspection Program enables home inspectors who have not yet qualified to work alongside an experienced home inspectors to gain knowledge and hours in the field they can put toward their certification.

Peer Review Program
We provide a list of chapter members who are qualified to perform peer reviews for candidates pursuing their Home Inspector License. This list is publicly accessible to anyone in need of a peer review and features professionals who are exclusively affiliated with our chapter. By choosing a peer reviewer from our chapter, candidates can ensure they receive guidance and support from experienced members who are well-versed in the requirements of the licensing process. Our chapter members are committed to fostering a collaborative and educational environment, making it easier for aspiring inspectors to achieve their goals.

Multi-Inspector Program

their teams, the Ohio Chapter of ASHI provides multi-inspector discounts for groups of three
or more inspectors. Alongside reduced dues, each company will be assigned a dedicated
representative from the Ohio Chapter of ASHI membership team, ensuring personalized
